Shear Wall Formwork

Modular Permanent Wall Formwork System

Modular Permanent Wall Formwork System

Shear Wall Formwork is a lightweight, modular and permanent form system used to cast reinforced concrete shear walls, retaining walls and basement walls. Made from engineering plastic, the panels offer an eco-friendly and economical alternative to traditional timber and steel formwork.

Thanks to standard panel sizes, each panel can be carried and assembled by a single worker without a crane. Connected to one another in seconds with plastic locks and pins, the panels adapt modularly to different wall lengths and heights.

With its light weight and fast installation, shear wall formwork significantly reduces labor time and cost on site; as the product stays in place on the surface, it leaves a face that provides added insulation to the structure.

Thanks to its rust-free, rot-free and water-resistant plastic structure, the surface is easily cleaned after application; it can be washed and painted if desired.

The modular design lets you work with the same panels on columns, foundations and wall-column junctions as well as shear walls. With internal and external corner pieces, spacers (spacer connectors) and bracing accessories, the system delivers a complete formwork solution.

GooPlast shear wall formwork features a strong ribbed structure engineered to withstand the lateral pressure of fresh concrete, giving safe and accurate results even on tall pours. Its self-spacing design also removes the need for separate concrete-cover spacers.

Areas of Use

Reinforced concrete shear walls
Retaining and garden walls
Basement and foundation walls
Elevator and stair shafts
Water tank and pool walls
Columns and wall-column junctions

Advantages

When suitable reinforcement is used, the lightweight panels are carried and assembled by hand with no crane or heavy equipment, reducing labor and equipment costs on site.
The engineering-plastic structure does not rust and resists corrosion; it protects the structure even on damp and aggressive ground and provides a long-lasting surface.
The plastic locking system snaps panels together in seconds; thanks to the modular design, the form is set up quickly and easily, shortening application time.
Remaining permanently on the surface, the panels create a face that gives the structure added thermal and moisture insulation.
The water-resistant plastic surface is very easy to clean after application; it can be washed and painted if desired.
Made from engineering plastic, it eliminates timber consumption and significantly lowers total formwork cost.

Application Steps

1

Reinforcement and Preparation

The wall reinforcement is placed according to the project and the form surfaces are checked.

2

Joining the Panels

Modular panels are connected with plastic locks and pins to form the wall faces.

3

Spacing and Bracing

Opposing panels are linked with spacers (spacer connectors); the form is leveled and braced with props where needed.

4

Concrete Casting

Concrete is poured in a controlled manner and placed with vibration; the strong ribbed structure resists lateral pressure.

5

Cleaning After Application

Once the concrete has set, the product stays permanently in the structure; it requires no stripping and the surface can be simply cleaned when needed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Shear wall formwork stays permanently in the structure after the concrete is cast; it is not stripped and provides added insulation on the surface.
No. Because the panels are lightweight, they can be carried and assembled by hand without a crane or heavy equipment.
With its lightweight structure, it is used on reinforced concrete shear walls, retaining and garden walls, basement and foundation walls, elevator/stair shafts, and water tank and pool walls.
It needs no plaster, because a clean plastic surface remains; decorative finishes can be applied over this surface if desired.
No. Since the product is self-spacing, there is no need for separate concrete-cover (spacer) elements.
